“in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15 CSB17)
As We Gather
We've covered the role of a pastor, we've covered the role of the Church, but what about you? Where do you fit into this system God has created? What job has He given you to do? The answer shouldn't be at all surprising by now: to testify to the truth. As you go through life, living and serving God in your various vocations, God has a job for you. Just as He works in and through you to do what He wills, so also He speaks through you to your family, friends, and neighbors so that the truth would continue to grow and expand.
Prayer
Almighty and gracious God, You want all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Magnify the power of the Gospel in the hearts of Your faithful people that Your Church may spread the good news of salvation. Protect, encourage, and bless all missionaries who proclaim the saving cross that Christ, being lifted up, may draw all people to Himself, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
