Our Purpose

To make more and better disciples by sharing Jesus' love

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
— John 15:12

Our Core Values

God's Word

God's Word is flawless and foundational. We believe that the Bible and the Sacraments have the power to transform and guide lives.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
— 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We believe the Bible is true

Prayer

We believe that prayer is essential for building God's Kingdom. Prayer is an opportunity to communicate intimately with God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
— Philippians 4:6
Children and adults can pray to God. Prayer is how we communicate with God.

The Body of Christ

We believe it is important to edify, encourage, and include every member of our congregation to build unity and loving relationships.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
— Romans 12:4-5
The body of Christ includes children, teens, and adults forming a community together.

Evangelism

We believe that Jesus Christ died for all people; therefore we share Jesus within our local and global communities. We aim to be visible and involved in our community, especially helping those in need.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem , and in all Judea and Samaria , and to the ends of the earth.
— Acts 1:8
Grief, anxiety, illness, affect all people. We strive to be involved with our community to help those in need.

Stewardship

We believe that we are a unified community of servants using our spiritual gifts under Godly leadership. We strive to live our faith everyday and to be good stewards of all the resources God has given us.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
— Romans 12:1-2
Girls of Grace hold an annual Rummage Sale to benefit Coopersville Cares, Positive Options, and other charities in our community.

Families

We believe the Bible shows us the pattern for building strong families in our homes and church.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
— Ephesians 5:1-2
Young people are an important part of our church community. Strong families come from strong marriages and Godly parenting.

Christian Education

We believe it is essential for Christians to regularly study, teach and apply scripture as a congregation, in small groups, and as individuals.

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
— Romans 15:4
Members are encouraged to attend Bible classes to learn solid doctrine

Welcoming Visitors

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
— Colossians 4:5-6

We believe in the importance of warmly welcoming all of God's people.

We love visitors! Please visit our church family.

Worship

We believe God comes to us in worship and the word. We respond through prayer, confession, music, offerings and Christian living. We value creative and innovative worship while remaining faithful to the Bible and our Lutheran heritage.

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
— Psalm 95:6-7
We offer Lutheran worship in the form of payer, confession, communion, offerings, Bible instruction.
