May 30 (Trinity Sunday)
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 CSB17)
As We Gather
If God is truth, then we must ask the question: who is God? Thankfully, we are not left to answer that question on our own. Simply locking ourselves in a room and thinking really hard about it isn't going to give us the answers we're looking for. Instead, God breaks into our world and reveals Himself to us. He created you. He loves you. He sent His Son so that He might spend eternity with you. And He has sent us His Holy Spirit so that you would be even more intimately connected with Him. So today, on Trinity Sunday, we celebrate and rejoice in that God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
Prayer
Almighty and everlasting God, You have given us grace to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity by the confession of a true faith and to worship the Unity in the power of the Divine Majesty. Keep us steadfast in this faith and defend us from all adversities; for You, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, now and forever.
