- Easter -

Sunday, April 21, 2019

Sermon Summary:

Foretold -

“On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever.  The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.” (Isaiah 25:7-8 NIV)

Fulfilled -

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” (1 Corinthians 15:54 NIV)

What are the odds?

Mathematician Peter Stoner once calculated the odds of just 8 Old Testament prophecies being fulfilled in one person to be 1 in 1017.   1017 silver dollars would cover the state of Michigan five feet deep!  In the Foretold series, we’ll be looking at 15 Messianic prophecies all fulfilled in Christ.  Amazing confirmation that Jesus is in fact, the Son of God, who came to live and die for us and to defeat sin, Satan and death itself by His resurrection!
