What is Expected of Members?

What is expected of us as disciples of Christ in the world?

They are given here for your consideration and establishment in the faith.

Attend Worship service at least once a week.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day coming.

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

Receive the Lord’s Supper every time it’s offered unless there is some Biblical reason to keep you from it.

For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes

Communion is offered the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month.

Study God’s Word personally and with family daily.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
— Proverbs 22:6
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
— 2 Peter 3:18

Study God’s Word regularly with others in Bible Study and Sunday school.

They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
— Acts 2:42

Financially Support the work of the church with a goal of 10 % of your income.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
— 2 Corinthians 9:6 & 7

Support and Pray for your pastor and all spiritual leaders as well as those who work to advance Christ’s kingdom throughout the world.

Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Support and Pray for your church family and for those in need.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Use Your God-Given Gifts in the work of the church.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
— 1 Peter 4:10

Demonstrate Christian Love to the members of the Body of Christ.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
— Galatians 6:10

Be a Disciple of Christ and a Witness to Christ at all times.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all. Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
— Acts 1:8
And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
— 2 Corinthians 5:15
